This is my collection of non-DBZ
anime music videos. Several of these have been played
at anime conventions over the years, and even a few
have won some awards! Please don't pass them up just
because they're not DBZ music videos, and are big file
sizes. These are the works I am the most proud of. :)
All of my music videos
are downloadable via my AnimeMusicVideos.Org

Made during over winter break
in 1998, this video was the last in my first
batch of music videos made using 2 VCRs. I believe
at this point, I had become aware of the Otakon
music video contest, and learned that people
really did make music videos for fun. I think
I took some of what I saw and learned from those
videos, and put that knowledge towards the making
of this video. That said, this is my favorite
of all my early videos, and probably the best
one I made using the 2 VCR method.
The concept of this video is
nutty violence! One would think I was a very
angry little girl considering the amount of
violence in this video. Basically, I wanted
to make a really action-packed video that I
myself would enjoy watching, and would feel
good enough to show my friends. If I remember
correctly, I think I even had a few hints of
timing in this one, and my first few instances
of *actual* dramatic moments, in terms of lyric-matching.
This was my second attempt
at making a music video, using the 2-VCR method.
And, this is also my first music video to have
something resembling a story. It's mostly self-indulgent
fun, since the video featured, at the time,
some of my main leading men of anime blowing
junk up and looking hot. I plan on remaking
this video some day, hopefully, since I always
liked it, and is stupid good fun. Oh yeah, it's
also my first try at lip syncing. Scary!
The jokes in the video are
all based off the lyrics in the song. Janet
Jackson singing about nasty men, and the bad
things they do. I tried to fit scenes that would
match what she was singing about. I think I
might have done this, but other times, I just
got lazy and added scenes of random guys instead.
Behold, my very first music
video ever! OK, so you can't really behold it,
since it's never been online. My first video
actually exists somewhere on a tape in my house,
and I don't know where it is. :) Basically,
I made this video the summer of my Junior year
in high school. I was on the gymnastics team
in school back then, and during practice, we'd
listen to music. One day, someone bought in
one of the "Jock Jams" CDs, and there
was a song I really liked on it called "No
Limit" by 2 Unlimited. I realized, "hey,
I wonder if I can make a music video type thing
by using VCRs to record clips together, and
somehow set it to music."
What resulted was a crappy
little experiment, involving me huddled with
ugly fansubs and commercial releases of anime
on VHS, trying to get clips to somehow go together
using the old 2-VCR method, and in the end,
set it to music using an old video camera.
In the end, it was a sloppy
set of random money shot clips from a few shows,
set to a dance song. I had made my first music
video, but at this point in my life, I didn't
know fans *really* made them, and that there
were even contests for them at anime conventions.
