This is my collection of non-DBZ
anime music videos. Several of these have been played
at anime conventions over the years, and even a few
have won some awards! Please don't pass them up just
because they're not DBZ music videos, and are big file
sizes. These are the works I am the most proud of. :)
All of my music videos
are downloadable via my AnimeMusicVideos.Org

"Best Angst" video in the
Pro Contest at Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA)
10 (2004; Nominated for "Best Drama"
and "Best Character Profile"
in the Pro Contest at AWA.
This video was
originally supposed to focus on Akio's use and
abuse of most characters (mostly Utena and Anthy),
but there was just the right amount of footage
with just the two characters (Utena and Akio)
that it began shifting more in that direction,
so that's where we took it. You'll note that
we do showcase some of the other "abused"
characters, but it's mostly in the interest
of showing the full "scheme" of things
at Utena discovers, so to speak.
This video is somewhat different
from our typical videos in that there isn't
one single set storyline with a beginning, middle,
and end. In addition to the story told about
Utena's encounter with Akio, we mostly go for
a general "mood" and "feeling"
about Akio, showcasing him in all kinds of situations
(mostly as a hero to himself!).
This video was a finalist in the Romance/Sentimental
category in the Otakon 2004 AMV Contest
This video is
the result of my love for one of my oldest favorite
series, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.... plus
more! The creation of the new live-action J-Drama,
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, has somewhat re-kindled
my interest in the franchise. When something
like THAT happens (read: getting re-obsessed
with an old show), making a music video to it
usually follows suit. :D
The story of "Memory"
is very simple, and focuses on the relationship
between Usagi and Mamoru in both the anime and
live-action versions of Sailor Moon. I slightly
twist the order and meaning of events that occur
in the series to bend to my will (muwahaha!),
but overall, this video exists as a simple love
story.
The other main reason I made
"Memory" is because I wanted to try
comparing the two versions of Sailor Moon. I
thought it would be an interesting challenge
to try to work with not only two versions of
the same story, but also to work with two different
types of media: animation and live-action. To
my knowledge, something like this had not been
done in an anime music video before (I could
very well be wrong, of course), and I was curious
to see what the result would be.
